Below you cn see 2 maps of the area the scripture says the ark of Noah came to rest after the wates of the loo subsided. The Mountian of Ararat. There are 2 things that the scripture does not tell us in that account.
1. It does not say which Mountian of Ararat the Ark cameto rest on, that is like the Rocky and Smokey mountians here in the USA, it is a mountian rannge, MORE THAN ONE. So which one did it come to rest on? That is something we don't know.
2. Was the Ark left in the state it was perched on top of that mount? That is something else the Bible doesn't tell us. In all probaility because that really isn't an important piece of religious information. So what is to say that the wood contained in the Ark was not used by Noah and the others? They would have needed wood for fire, perhaps for other things as well. That much wood just laying around, no other use for it, since God had promised to never flood the world again, why not use it, instead of letting it sit up there and rot away?
